Villa Build Equipment in Al Shamkha & Riyadh City
The machines a villa build in Al Shamkha or Riyadh City needs, stage by stage, and how to cut equipment costs across several plots.

Al Shamkha, Madinat Al Riyadh (Riyadh City), Al Falah, and Al Wathba are home to some of the largest concentrations of villa construction in Abu Dhabi. Most contractors building there face the same question: which machines do I actually need, and for how long? Here is the typical equipment plan, stage by stage.
Site Setup and Foundations
Excavation and foundations are earthworks jobs, usually done by the earthworks subcontractor's own machines. The lifting work starts when steel and blockwork arrive. From then on a telehandler earns its keep: unloading trucks, moving rebar bundles to the fixers, and stacking blocks close to the work.
Blockwork and Upper Floors
As the walls rise, the telehandler places pallets of blocks directly onto the slab and the upper floor, which saves a great deal of manual handling. For a typical two-storey villa, a compact telehandler with around 7 m of reach is enough. Larger villas, or those with a roof terrace, may need 13 m.
Roof, Steel and Heavy Items
Precast elements, roof steel, water tanks, and pool equipment are often beyond a telehandler's capacity at the reach needed. That is when you book a small mobile crane for a day. A 25–50 ton crane covers most villa lifts, as long as it has a firm, level area to set up.
Finishing and External Works
Facade finishing, external lighting, and high ceilings in the majlis or entrance hall call for a scissor lift or a small boom lift. For landscaping and boundary walls, the telehandler with a bucket attachment often returns for a few days.
Ground Conditions in the New Communities
Many plots in these communities front onto roads that are not yet paved, and the ground around the house is loose sand until landscaping is done. Specify a four-wheel-drive, rough-terrain telehandler. Before a crane arrives, prepare a firm pad for the outriggers or ask for outrigger mats.
Keeping Costs Down Across Several Plots
- ✓Rent the telehandler monthly and move it between your plots in the same community
- ✓Group crane lifts on several villas into the same day to share mobilization
- ✓Book the scissor lift for finishing on several villas in one hire period
- ✓Tell the supplier how many plots and the programme up front, so the quote reflects it
Seven Lift's yard in Musaffah is a short drive from Al Shamkha and Riyadh City. Send us the number of villas and the programme and we will quote a monthly telehandler plus crane days to match.
