Working in Al Shahama and Al Bahia: What to Plan For
Unlike the new communities east of Musaffah, Al Shahama and Al Bahia are built up. Much of the work is on existing villas: extensions, majlis additions, roof work, and rebuilds, where the machine has to fit through a gate and set up beside a boundary wall rather than on an open plot.
That changes the equipment. A compact telehandler with four-wheel steer, or a 25 ton crane with a small outrigger footprint, usually does more here than a bigger machine. Measure the gate width, check the street for overhead cables and trees, and tell us where the machine can stand before you book.
Community streets are shared with residents, and a crane set up on a public road may need permission first. We agree a delivery window outside the early-morning and school-run traffic so the low-bed does not block neighbours.
Both districts sit along the Abu Dhabi to Dubai road, about 40 minutes from our Musaffah yard. That puts them within same-day reach for most machines when you book in the morning, and a day's notice is enough for cranes.
